It’s been several months since the Android Beta for Streams of Prayer was launched. I have gotten some feedback and have planned a few additional features, but have been busy with work, and not had the time to invest in this project. In the coming months, I plan to jump into the development of Streams of Prayer for iOS, and show some love to our Apple-loving brothers and sisters. Until that time, I wanted to leave followers with a road-map of what I envision for this project.

Over the coming years, I want to turn this app into a sudo-social network. Users would sign up for online accounts, and their Streams could sync across devices. Users could have public facing Streams that their friends could follow and pray for. Larger institutions, such as churches, could also have public facing Streams that Users could follow. Functionality might also include broadcast “alert” notifications for when urgent Prayer is needed.

After the iOS version of the app catches up with the Android version, I will start work on this bigger platform. If I make it that far, I will most likely open-source the project, and will seek help from the community. In the meantime, pray without ceasing, and God Bless.
