This project has fallen by the wayside as life has changed significantly for me in the last few years. When I first started this project years ago, there weren’t many options with this functionality. Given that there are now much better apps available now, I’m officially retiring the app.

When was the last time someone at church asked you to pray for them? You said that you would, of course, and you really meant to… But here you are a week later, and you forgot. You’re not alone. Our society pushes us all to do more and more with our time. So many of us live our lives moving at 100 miles an hour; we barely remember to eat breakfast, let alone pray for Aunt Susie.

Some are critical of how connected we all are to our devices, but what if our phones could actually be harnessed to help bring a little peace into the chaos of our lives? This is where Streams of Prayer comes in.

The purpose of this app is to provide you with an easy place to organize your prayers and can provide reminders throughout the day to pray for the things you might otherwise have forgotten to. It works like this:

1) You create a Stream to group associated Prayers together.

2) You select how often you would like to receive reminders for Prayers in that Stream.

3) Then, throughout the day, Streams of Prayer will randomly select prayers from each of your streams and send you a notification with a reminder to pray. Take this opportunity to take a deep breath, say a short prayer, and remember that everything is in God’s hands.
